Every kid starts excited. The difference between kids who transform and kids who quit is consistency. Here's how to help your child stay with it.
The harder you have to think about going, the more reasons you'll find to skip. Lock in the class times. Put them on the family calendar. Treat them like any other important commitment.
The Confident Course works partly because structure is built in. Two classes a week, a clear schedule, a coach who knows your child. You're not figuring it out alone.
What gets noticed gets repeated. When your child learns a new kick, earns a new belt, or shows kindness on the mat, name it. Kids repeat what they're praised for.
It's easy to forget why you enrolled when week 3 hits and your child says they don't feel like going. Remember: discipline isn't built by doing what's easy. It's built by showing up when it's hard.
There will be weeks your child doesn't want to go. That's normal. The kids who grow the most are the ones whose parents help them show up anyway.
Train alone, it's easy to skip. Train with a group, with a coach who's checking in, it's much harder to disappear. This is why the Confident Course includes weekly check-ins and a parent mastermind.
